I picked up the Stage 1 and billet steel flywheel yesterday and installed the flywheel last night. Well, comparing the stock setup to the Spec setup, there is about %20 more clamping surface with the Spec setup. The actual disk has approx. 6 CM of surface compared to 5CM of surface for the stock disk. The Spec pressure plate looks a lot sturdier and has 18 fingers instead of the stock 12 fingers
So far so good. The only bad news is the weight of the SPEC flywheel. I was told that it would reduce weight which is totally not true. The stock flywheel weighted 24 LBS and the SPEC flywheel is 24LBS as well. The only weight difference I saw was with the clucth disk & pressure plate combo. The stock setup is 26LBS while the Spec setup is 24LBS. Note that I didn't order the optional lightweight pressure plate.
I'm sorry but i'm too cheap to have a digicam so as soon as the pics are ready, I will scan them and post them.
