Well, you guys this will be my official first post here on LS2.com!

Well, I got my Wings West ground effect kit in and now it's at the body shop getting painted and should be ready on Thursday!

I'm going to be so excited when it's finally on.

And of course, I'll have to take some pics of the car and me to post for you guys.

Something tells me a lot more are still coming. I still post there but I really get the impression that the owner at LS1.com is not exactly forthcoming. Seemingly innocuous threads are disappearing there and it's starting to bug me.

I think this Firebird forum will be the best ever.:D

Sure hope you are getting them painted to match your car (SOM) . If you did then it'll look great. Sometimes people try too hard to get created and make their cars stand out.

I almost bought the same kit and still think about getting it, though I know I'll never get around to buying it. I'd probably end up scraping it the first day.

Anyways looking forward to seeing the pics.

Well, guys I just wanted to update you.

TransAm WS6 RGS: Yeah, I got them painted SOM ;)

Well, my b/f picked them up on Friday and him and his buddy installed them on Saturday. It seemed like it took forever!! Funny thing they didn't want me outside with the car, because they know how picky I am and how I would freak out if anything went wrong. It took almost 5 hours to install. All that time included washing the car, removing pieces, measuring, taping, prepping the car and then final installation. Man, those guys were tired, I'm sure glad I made them lunch!! Seriously I was wondered the paint wasn't going to match and the pieces weren't going to fit perfectly. I went to the same body shop that painted my car when I wrecked it so they had SOM paint left. The only problem was that paint was just a tad bit darker than the other side. Anyhow, I saw the parts on saturday morning and was a little worried, but we they were put on, you can't even tell them apart from the car.

So, I was very lucky. Plus, I have a huge thanks to my b/f and his friend for putting them on.

The next day it was raining, so no pics, however this weekend I'm going to take pics of the car and of course me and the car and I'll post them up.

:yay: Thats good, I thought you paint them to match the yellow decals. Glad you didnt! IMO that would have been overkill.

I didn't think they would look good.
I'm not a fan of ground effects on these cars, but they actuly look good on your car and your color.

Thanks for the compliments...I've been checking into some rims, but I think I will stay with stock rims for now...but I'm hoping to get new ones, maybe next year.....

Don't like it. I hate my stock ground effects. I sometimes wish I would have purchased a used WS6 Formula instead of the WS6 TA

I want to, only problem is how the rear and front bumpers have them molded into them.

I wouldn't mind a formy front and rear, but would look stupid with a TA hatch.
