(Anything to wake up this forum a bit.)
I remember a ways back on "the other site", someone had said that you can safely raise or lower the top at speeds over 55 MPH, and once Spring was here, he would post videos to prove it.
Personally, I've raised it doing close to 35 MPH once with no problems whatsoever, but would like to know what speeds it was really built to handle.

It was Eugenio who claimed to do it at super high speeds.
I've only done it at about 10mph or so. Too chicken to try it on the highway. I can just imagine the embarrassment as the roof blows off the car onto the highway behind me!

Well I must say I was pretty amazed when I tried it at 35MPH due to an unwanted storm moving in. I still want to see videos of 55MPH+ though. :D

I've done it at 20-25 mph with no problem. I still would like to see the video of him doing it at 55. His top probably didd blow off in the video and that's why he didn't post it.

In the middle of a blinding rainstorm that I drove into, I pressed the button as I was doing 60, but at the same time ABS'ing onto the shoulder.. I made sure I was below 20 before it really started cranking up. Nothing like getting douched - but it felt good, was a long hot day at the dragstrip

I hate to admit this, but I've tried it several times now - both up and down at 40-45MPH, and no problems whatsoever. I must say I've very amazed at how well it handles it.
I would still like to find something in the owners manual that tells exactly what the reasonable design limits are.

In a rain storm, at speed of 65+, you can keep the rain out of your vehicle by creating a wall of wind.. Ive done it..
