this is just a bit of a thrash in the R8 similar to the G8 but with the Ls2 instead of the L76 6L
Does'nt go into too many technical details ... just a good old thrashing , but entertaining never the less..
Driven by 'Vicky'
Its good to see the car in action anyway , instead of just pics we keep seeing on the net, same body as the G8 coming your way :)

I don't blame you. I just watched it and I can see why. Their production looks more and more like Top Gear's every time I watch it.

HSV version, big brakes, wheels, etc. Most of which won't show up in the US version even a GXP version.

if you have a better look , the wheels are 19's ( not g8 showcars 20's) , 19's are optional on the G8 GT

I'd lay money that the US will not receive the same or similar wheels. The Vauxhall Monaro VXR models were consistently better equipped than the GTO... including the send off supercharged version. 19's may be available, but I'll be shocked if they're worth a damn... just using the GTO as a marker. :nosulk:
But that can be solved with the right aftermarket choice in any case. :D

If the 19's can be GM "certified" for use here then we'll see them. If not, expect a smaller rim like with the GTOs.

the car will look silly with the massive wheel arches and little "GTO" 17 rims
check out the second page with "selected optional features"

I'm not saying it will have 17's, although the V6 probably will. The GT may have 18's standard but hopefully the 19's will be optional if that's the case.
