behind the back of the back seat of the 81 Turbo Trans Am Im gutting.
I found it just an hour ago when I pulled the seat out to throw it away. It is perfect, near mint.
This car was loaded down with everything and was a beauty I bet when new. You can also see it really was a Turbo car.

Did you look under the dash cause sometimes they wrapped them around the wiring. Also it could be ontop of your gas tank.

The gas tank was dropped and painted and I havent looked under the dash yet.But I had the a/c fixed and I dont think it was there.

I tried to find mine yesterday. I pulled the seats and it's nowhere to be found. It looked like the previous owner had pulled the rear seats to run speaker wire back to the new speakers so i't likely he found it and pulled it out.
Dammit!!

Well my dad said back then alot of them were bad about wrapping them around the wiring harness under the dash.
Then when they are the age they are now its a major PITA to get them off without them breaking up.
he has found them like that on Mustangs he has restored. But then again that could have been a Ford thing to put them under the dash.

Well I guess that I will never find mine oh well.:( Besides who would have thought that in the 60s and 70s that anybody would be restoring these cars. They considered these classic rides as mass transportation and nothing else.

I found mine tonight. I didn't pull the driver seat last time because I didn't think it would be there. Well tonight I pulled it so I could vacuum out the rest of the car and check under the carpet. Well what do I see in the seat bottom? A whole bunch of tattered paper!! I salvaged what I could find and got most of it.
I wish it was in better shape but this is better than nothing.

What surprised me was that my wheels came gold from the factory. I thought only the Bandits could be ordered with Gold wheels but I guess not.

Now when you drop your tank there will be another one on it.
I found the second build sheet on the 81 Today when I dropped the gas tank on it.

I lucked out on mine. The original owner kept one with the owner's manual. I also found one when I reupholstered the seats but that one was kinda shredded like Morpheus's.

DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT
Im pissed
I just pulled all the seats out of the 78 and NO BUILDSHEET.
Some assclown had the back seat out at one time to install the aftermarket rear speakers and he must have thrown it away or something. The speaker wires to the rear speakers go up and behind the seat back of the back seat.
Unless its under the carpet Ill have to just read what I can of the one off the gas tank. Even it will be torn up cause they always put them under that damn felt strap and it sticks to them over time.
Will PHS send me a new buildsheet for the car or how do I get one?
Jeffro

Well that sucks man. Time to drop that gas tank because you don't get a copy of the BS with the PHS stuff. I think the PHS stuff is overpriced anyway. It's cool some of the stuff they send but out of all that crap the only thing I really needed was the invoice.

I have no clue. I've never heard of being able to get a new one.

when i was guttin' the interior of my '79, the build sheet was behind the rear seats. Now it's vaccuum sealed, and scanned for extra safety.
