I wish I could post my graph, but my torque curve is almost flat from 3300K to about 6K. The cam starts to die off around 6400 so I shift when my tac goes to about 6500. I would recommend this cam to anyone that is going to spray...seems it would be a decent FI cam.

This doesn't seem like a good idea if you drive around town a lot. You have to keep the RPMS up for it to not surge, and driving slow is hard.

Fastech installed cam & heads, Heads are stage 1 heads that flowed 8 to 10cfm up top better. Custom grind comp cams 228/288 .588/.588 114+2 Mods are in sig, dyno# at Fastech are: N/A 438.57rwhp & 401.26 waiting on retune and asp pulley and comp cams 7.375 pushrods . Idle is good but will be better after retune a/f running 13.9 to 13.3 after pulling cat off Retune should fix This cam seems perfect on the ls1 installed st up! Not to big and not to small! The heads were Milled .040 not .030 like sponcer said, but p/v was 187/230 safe, compression 10.94:1 mileage on cam 1k miles Everything seem fine but after retune and right size pushrod &asp pulley. Should be safe and at 450rwhp Gas mileage is better than stock!!!!!!

10) Would you recommend your cam to another user and why?
Yes and no. No b/c it was a custom grind and I like being the only one I know if that has it. Yes b/c so far it's an awesome cam.

1) What are my cam specs? G5x3 @ 114+4 (24x/24x .6xx"/.61x")
2) Did you install the cam yourself? No. I had it installed the same time a bunch of other stuff. Labor was around $400ish for the cam.
3) How long has the cam been in? About 2 months.
4) How many miles? Less than 1000
5) What reliability issues have you had since the cam install? Not a single mechanical issue.
6) What have you broke on the car? Nothing yet, but the stock 4L60E is on it's way out.
7) How much power you putting down? 401rwhp/385rwtq (see attached dyno sheet)
8) Other mods?
- QTP LT's, LS6 intake, Walbro 255, Bo White TB, SVO 36#, True duals dumped, Crane dual springs.
- Yank SY3500/1.63 STR
- 75/100 Dry shot (no dyno #'s yet)
- stock bottom end
- "cleaned up" 5.7L heads from a '99 LS1

- List your rev limiter and where you shifted at
Rev limiter is 6800, shift point is ~6400
10) Would you recommend your cam to another user and why? Absolutely. The power comes on like a jet engine's afterburner around 4600-4800 rpm's. It definately took some getting used to, but I like this cam more and more the more I drive the car. :D

Please add this to the cam review thread.
1)What are your cam specs?
Crane 220/224 .583 114 lsa
ADV@.004 @.05
IVO: 27* 0*
IVC: 75* 40*
EVO: 77* 50*
EVC: 29* -6*
Adv duration: 282/286
Valve overlap: -6*
ICA: 110
ECA: 118
RPM Range: 2400-5900 float- 6500
2) Did you install the cam yourself?
YES :) It took me a 3 day weekend to install the cam and the AFR 205 heads. Took me a little longer to get everything good to go and running, but she runs like a top now.
3) How long has your cam been in?
It has been installed for 2 months now, without any problems. I have about 500 to 1000 miles on the cam, most of which highway driving to get he car dyotuned. I have Crane 1.8 quick lift rocker arms to get the valves going faster, the lift stated above is accounting the rockers. I have the springs that came with the AFR heads, they are the same as the patriot dual gold springs, but arent gold in color. No problems with them yet.
5) What reliability issues have you had since the cam install?
Before tuning I had just bumped the idle to 800 to get things started. At first When I started the car it would just die. I had to give her a little throttle till she warmed up so she would stay alive. After more tuning and some done by More Performance in Charlotte Nc. I have made some alterations to their tune and she starts up fine and goes just like she did stock. Idle is at 850. Driving to and from getting the tune I got 28 mpg, which impressed the crap out of me considering the heads and cam.
6) What have you broke on the car since the cam install?
Nothing, thank goodness!
7) How much power you puttin' down?
Dyno sheet can be found here... http://community.webshots.com/album/236058828QDQzkF/1
385hp 374 tq
I had some problems with the rocker arms and lifter preload, these runs were with less than optimal preload, I think I have corrected it now though. This run was with everything in my sig, minus the SLP underdrive pulley.
8) Other mods?
See my sig for other mods. In the future I plan on a Fast 90/90, true duals sans cats, I also need a TC, planning on a YankSS 3200 2.1 str with a set of 3.23 gears. Stock stall and 2.73 gears are so-so.
9) Where was the powerband at and how high did it peak
Peak was 5700-5900 Shift at 6200 with rev limiter at 6400. The cam pretty much has the stock powerband, but makes a crap load more power. From my last dyno I picked up 50tq and 60hp.
10) Would you recommend your cam to another user and why?
Yes, If you are looking for a good A4 cam that retains stock like drivability, gets great gas mileage, and makes a crap load more power than stock, this cam is for you!
