I know this is a bit premature but hypothetically if you owned a new GTO right now and you already had a nice set of long tube headers on the way and a full new free-er flowing exhaust system installed waiting for the headers, a CAI of some kind, what cam would you choose if any?
The GTO cam specs are 196/207 degrees duration @.050 and .479/.467 lift with a 116-degree LSA. Now this is a good cam for some low-end grunt given the low duration and high-lift. Since the car is so heavy, would you leave this cam in there? Or what would you choose as a replacement. I'm talking for all around streetability and street performance where you aren't at WOT all the time (most of us :D ).
If it were me, I'd leave the stock cam in there, and just do headers, catback, CAI, new intake (maybe FAST intake?) fatter tires and Q-tec cutouts.
What are you thoughts?
