I've tried searching on other boards without success.

I'm interested to know what the specs are compared to the Trex

I am pretty sure the numbers were not announced. I dont remember ever seeing them. The only reason the G5X2 numbers are known is because someone leaked them. I doubt we'll know until the G5X3 is leaked.

I think the LS1 community is pretty self respecting in that if anyone comes up with a new cam grind, people remember who came up with it. Regardless of what personal opinions I hold of Thunder Racing, we all know they made famous the 220/220 and 224/224 grind cams.

I dont think that LG should be so concerned with keeping their grind specs a secret, because any self respecting engine builder would WANT to know the valve timing events of his cam to assure maximum performance (which is the target of people who this cam is designed for). I personally frown upon hiding things as these, but if people are willing to put unknown spec cams in their car, then more power to them.

They just want to over charge us.

You can have that same cam ground and shipped for at least 100 bucks less.

that is the exact reason I won't put the G5X3 cam in my car. I want one because it made good power, but I would not put it in not knowing the clearance I'm gonna have. My car is not my daily driver anymore and I was thinking of getting a G5X3 or Trex over the G5X2 that I have for the car now.

:werd: :stupid:

even with the x2 specs release that cam is/was a hot comadity (sp). spec'ing a cam isnt as easy as some people believe it to be, just because you grind an x2-esque cam doesnt mean its going to perform like an x2.

yup, just knowing the lift and duration isn't going to get you the same cam. Ramp rates could be totally off.
