Upgrading lifters, is it worth it?
I am building a 408 is it worth upgrading the lifters or is it a waste of money
Also which ones should I get
if the heads are off i dont see why not. comp oem 850's or comp R lifters is what i'd get. im running the 850's.

There is only one hydraulic lifter for the LS1. The stock ones are made by a third party company (not GM) and all the aftermarket brands (Comp/Crane/etc) are these same lifters, just internally modified to improve oil flow. Just go with any of these, and you'll be fine.
