Just finishing it up. It's a 2001 LS1/T56 with a GM HotCam and longtubes, into a rotiserrie restored 75 280Z with a 3:70 posi diff. It dynoed 348rwhp, 340tq on a questionable tune, so in a 2800lb body it's no slouch. Haven't been to the track yet as it's been a problem getting it to pass AZ smog. Hope to have it on the street for good before the cool weather goes away. The vids are from the first test drives about 2 months ago.

There aren't too may wheel choices for the bolt spacing on a Datsun. The old Cobra wheels are about the only choice for the widths I wanted.

Here's a vid from last summer. First time with the car at Firebird. 106 degrees at about 9pm.

Very nice! If you don't mind, about how much did the project run you?
My dad had a 240 with a 327 back in the day and I've considered doing one, but wasn't sure of the headaches involved with it..

The whole project was about $30k. That includes the car and all the tools I had to buy, but now it's basically a new car. If I was going to do it over I'd find a better car to start with, and I'd do it with an older engine (283, 327, 350). It would be easy to cut the price in half if I ever do another one. If you ever get the bug t build one, go to HybridZ. Lots of experience/ideas there.
