Not for production due to cost and this platform is nearly at its end of life. ;)

Hey Rick, what is this I hear about the release of a All Wheel drive Monaro there in Aussie next month... those rumors true?

That would be the HSV Coupe4 (http://www.hsv.com.au)

The regular Monaro AWD and Commodore SS AWD are due late this year. They run the same drivetrain setup as the Adventra (Commodore wagon based AWD) and Crewman Cross8 (Dual cab ute AWD). So far they are only available with the LS1 but they will be available with the new HFV6 later this year when the VZ comes out.

Only have a 1990 Commodore V6 at the moment as I am building a house and been saving for the last 18 months. My 2 brothers both have LS1 powered Holdens though - the one I share a house with now has an SS Ute that I get to use a bit so I can get the V8 fix :)

Nice car  Those wheels look good on the T/As to!

You would definitely turn some heads with that thing on Aussie roads as late model F-bods are really rare. Most people would have no idea what it is.

I dont know how much it would cost to get it here (possibly USD $5-7K+?) and it might be hard to register in LHD in some states. I think the govt. goes a bit easier with the import duties/taxes if you have owned the car for a certain period rather than just an Aussie buying a car and importing it. If you were only coming for a year it probably wouldnt be worth the hassles and cost.

That not mine.... its what my brother has, its a 2001 SS Ute and it already has an LS1 ;) CAI, Headers, Exhaust & PCM Mods... on a Dynojet dyno it would be making around 340rwhp - mid 13s in full street trim. They run mid-low 14s stock. With a few more mods the best they are getting out of them now unopened NA on street tyres is high 12s.... faster with slicks.
