Mine's pewter too, but I'm embarassed of the paint. It looks like someone sprayed a chemical on the hood and didn't clean it off. Grr. I've also got a spot on the front bumper about the size of a playing card where the paint has just come off.

I wonder if paint is covered by waranty. Probably not. I'll most likely suck it up and have the hood and front bumper painted. When I do that I'm planning on filling in those holes around the front grill and removing it.

I'm sure there's a thread around here about taking out the styrofoam behind the bumper.

Hey SuperSport NICE RIDE!!! Car is nice n shiney :) What do u use? Im a Zaino guy myself...and its hard to get a pic like ur car cuz the pewter color changes all the time in the day!

Thanks, ELS1! Zaino guy here too. Primarily use Z5. I don't really see the difference in shine with the Z-2, plus the Z5 really helps with the imperfections. Your right that it is hard to capture pewter in pics. These pics were on a clear day in the mid- afternoon with the sun behind me when taking the pic. I read through this before going out shooting. It helped alot.

and speaking of rare kaisenls1, mine is the only Z28 that i know of that came from the factory with the top roof panel (between the t-tops and the back windsheild) painted. ive even talked to the fbodfather and some other people who say that it should not have come that way. i like it though :cool:

My camera sucks so Im pretty much stuck with these photos until I can grab a deal on ebay on a 2MP+ camera. I have silver '02 SS rims ready to go on as soon as I get the rubber for them. I'll post updated pics then.

Ah, the thought had crossed my mind. It has indeed. But I'd want it done RIGHT, which would mean pulling the engine and painting the engine bay as well as the door seams and under the hatch. And I don't have that kind of money.

For now red will do I guess.
