Grand Prix headgasket?

What all will I have to do to change a '97 Grand Prix headgasket? Will the engine need to be flushed? Will I have to have the head checked out? Thanks

Depends on what all happened to it that you needed to change the gasket. If the gasket blew, you might as well take all necessary steps to make sure everything is ok (i.e. get the head checked to make sure it's not warped.. etc.).

If it's like all other engines on the market you will have to drain the coolant... aside from that there's not much to it other than lots of time... Of course you should check or have the head checked for warping and cracks.
