My friend was told that the 03 Impala he was buying was an LS, but we looked at it tonite and it wasn't. :( It has the 3400 V6, is there anything he can do to mod it?

If it's a new one, it'll come stock at 180 Hp... slap on a nitrous kit and it wouldn't be terrible... it should take a 75 shot without too much worry...

There's not a lot of stuff on the market for the 60* engine... but I've heard of ~220 N/A Hp after a complete buildup.

So it's basically not worth doing anything to.

Thanks. :)

Well I like to be an optimist for the most part... but it's kind of hard to sit here and go :yup:

180 Hp isn't bad though for a daily driver... unfortunately it's pretty well built at that point and not much more to do... whereas we have a good 60+ Hp to play with when we're dealing with the 3800.

Yeah, he really wished it was the 3800 because that engine has at least a bit of potential. He should just sell this Impala and get a V6 Camaro.
