I found a 1980 Trans Am yesterday thats not easily restorable that the guy told me he would sell me. I think I can get it for $100-$150.00 and Ill part it out and sell the good parts on ebay for more money to work on the 78. It has enough good stuff on it I can make me another couple of grand. Its some old guy that has it and he wants it out of his yard. Its white with blue interior and t-tops. The floor pans and trunk pan are just about gone but it still has its original turbo motor. Ive got to get back with him next week about it. The drivers pan is so gone that the seat is leaning from the weak pan. Its sitting in a horse field with the drivers door wide open and a horse has chewed on the drivers seat.

That last 80 Z28 I parted out, i totalled it up and I made 4k off parting it out and I still have some of it left and this 80 T/A has more parts that are in better shape than the Z had. :D

Plus it has some parts I can use on my 78 T/A also, like a rear disc brake rear end. :drive:

Nice!! I think with what you and I have found the past week or so, we could start a pretty good business with parting out these cars. ;)

LOL yep

Here is an update.

Just got off the phone alittle while ago with the guy I talked to yesterday about the 80 T/A and he said he will sell it to me for $100.00. So me and a buddy are going to pick it up tomorrow morning. Its in Oak Grove which is about 70 miles from me. Its White with Blue interior and T-tops. The guy says it still runs and shifts fine. Atleast he drove it where it sits now. The floor pans and trunk pans are shot in it and alot of the interior is to. But Im only buying it for a parts car for my 78 T/A. Im gonna use what I can off it for my car and part the rest out and sell on ebay for money to put into my 78. I think Ill use the disc brake rear end in my car if its a good ratio. My buddy is gonna use the 1/4 panel off it to fix the 1/4 on a 76 455 4 speed 50th ann. Special Edition Trans Am he is buying. This guy im buying it from was already looking at hauling it off to the scrap yard so Im saving the good stuff on it.

Will post pics of it tomorrow. :D

Anybody want an 80 Turbo T/A motor and tranny. Ill sell them cheap if you come pick them up. ;)
