anyone know what the long oil filter for our cars are NAPA brand?? its actually a truck filter but works on the f-body...

longer filer = bigger oil capicity, plus you get more filter surface area in the filter, it only hangs a little bit below the oil pan, you'll hit the front of the car with something before the filter.... patman, is that the napa gold filter?? i remember askin you this last year but i threw the paper away...:sillyme:

Yes, that is the number for the NAPA Gold.

For me, the biggest reason I like using longer filters is that they flow a lot more oil too. That is the most important feature on an oil filter in a hard driven car.

Yes. In fact, I believe the best choice is the K&N. Their long filter is the HP2006. This filter outflows the NAPA Gold.

Very similar, both of them are about an 18-20 micron filter (meaning they filter out about 98 to 99% of the particles at this size or bigger in the multipass test)

i hear the ac delco filter is one of the best ones you can get from autozone and its only 3.50
