Don't like them.

I like the additions of a 3.73 but they are whiney. :rolleyes:

they are relatively quiet going hwy speeds, but while deccelerating they get noisy (>20 MPH).

Wouldn't buy them again...

I was getting mosher ring/pinions installed...the mechanic had my car all broken down...Jegs sent him the wrong parts...so the only parts that they had in stock that they could overnight to him were the Richmonds :mad: oh well...guess I'll live with it.

Richmond's = :thumbdn:

I've used Richmonds and they were quiet, but that was on 8.5 and 12 bolts. Might be the install. The deeper you go, the stronger the install, but more noise. Only way to know for sure is to check the pattern.

I've always heard Richmond gears have a distinctive whine, no matter how well the gears are set up.

I'm happy with my Motive gears. I had Superiors in that were so loud, they had to come out.

My Son in Law used Richmond and they whined. I installed GM and they are silent

It's all gear whine hell. I have a loooong story to tell, but I'll spare you. Aftermarket gearing products and install is a crap shoot.

I spent $2,000 :eek: on on multiple gear swaps on my 98 M6 Z-28. After all was said and done, my ears were ringing when I went into the house. I can't believe there is no remedy for this. It's TOTALLY unacceptable in this day and age.

I'd love to drop a set of 4.10's in my '10 SS. But I ian't going to be no guinea pig like in '98. That was HELL.
