best sounding muffler for the 3.4??

i just picked up a 94 firebird and i want it to have at least a little bit of rumble, which muffler should i get?? i was lookin at the flowmaster 80 series but what would the 40 series and so on sound like??

I have the 80-series and it sounds awesome. For the not so car people, they mistake it for a V8 at lower rpms. Best buy for the money for me.

A friend of mine had a 3.4 with a flowmaster on it... sounded pretty good.

I have 2 chrome 3" pipes, but I think Hooker tips might look good also.

it's pretty easy to make a 3.4l fbody sound good

i dont see any reason a b&b tri flow wouldn't sound GREAT on a 3.4l car, but for the price flowmasters is a winner.

I have the Flowmaster American Thunder catback on my 3.4 and it sounds great.

To get the clip on the net you'll have to upload it to geocities or some hosting site, and post the link to it. Note that if you put it on geocities and some other sites, people will have to copy/paste the link into their address bar for it to work.

Upload it to geocities, then click on it in your file manager so you can play it, the url of it should show up in your address bar.

Seriously though, my buddies hooker muffler with quad tips didnt sound too bad on his 3.8. Never heard a muffler only on a 3.4 sorry.

but what i noticed about the muffler is it sounds awsome at idle but it has alot of cackle and it kinda sounds like a fart can up top. but i do like it over all!! oh and sorry bout the poor sound quality, im not workin with much.

Man, the Z's sound awesome, my parents have an 04 Z Roadster, I love the way it sounds.

i'm gonna ban both of you for being on crack! I do agree that our V6s don't sound good when compared to other cars, but i really don't think 350Zs sound good at all.

Of course, that's all a matter of taste... i'm partial to the LT1 exhaust note.. :drool:

haven't listened to teh sound clip, but I like the way my 3.4 w/ flowmaster sounded ove a 350Zhere in New Orleans when I heard one the other day.
