I don't know how many v6 people are over here, but ill hope there is someone who knows about this.

I have a 95 camaro with 2 engines, one had a blown head gasket, the other got over revved. I have the head gasket one ripped down to the block and it looks pretty good, needs serious clean up but other than that it should be fine.

The other one is still in the car, but I pulled the radiator / all the front end BS that I could get off and now I'm ready to pull the engine, but it looks like a huge PITA to get out of the engine bay. how the hell are you supposed to pull it?

There are many websites with instructions on how to pull the V6 engine out, but from what I've read you have to drop it out from underneath as opposed to pulling it. I'll search for those websites for you.

I've seen someone use a crane to lift the car up(a little extreme), but I think I'd use a hydraulic lift like at a garage shop or something.

if your going to pull the engine. do you have a strut tower bar?
someone i know backed their car up on ramps. hooked a thick chain to their stb with a towel. and lifted thef ront of the car with their engine puller lift thingy (dont know what its called, forgive me) and they rolled the engine& tranny out from under the car on the k member.

That sounds good, I'm going to give it a try.

That's exactley how they got my motor out. used an engine hoist to jack it up from the front of the frame, my rear bumper was LITERALLY touching the ground. Disconnected the whole front end and just rolled it out on the front 2 rims

Ok, I am a bit confused. I am supposed to keep the engine and front axle/wheels attached and roll them out as one piece?

I was going to disconnect all of that stuff and then lower the car back down, and try to disconnect the engine and roll it into the engine bay, then lift it straight up.

lift the whole front end by the stb. letting the engine/tranny rest on the the k member..
lift the front end up with the kmember/combo unbolted completely. then roll the kmember/combo out from under the car

I've seen people take the engine and tranny out of the top.

I believe the haynes manual shows how to remove it from the top.

You should be able to use a cherry picker to lift the front end of the car up

I know this is a bit old, but for mine we just lifted the car with jacks and jackstands. We went to harbor freight to get the orange truck stands that are really tall and we still had them on wood. To get enough clearance your going to need to lift the back wheels. easiest thing to do is get a second set of rims and put it under the back tires. or u can get lots and lots of wood. but a set of rims is perfect height.

We pulled it right out the top of the engine bay after disconnecting it from the tranny (We also dropped the tranny, it is on a block under the car)
