a4 to m6 tranny swap help

I was wondering if this can be done and around how much you think this will cost me.

I have a vehicle I am ready to buy, but its an a4 and I want a m6. I am wanting to buy the car and put a m6 in it. I was told this can be done and not at a bad price if I sell my a4 tranny. Can i get more opinions on this. Any help would be awesome.

You need to price the bits and pieces to make it happen. Console, PCM reprogramming, PCM wiring, complete trans., console, floor mods, pedal installation.

If you can find someone who wants to go A4, that can be your best bet $-wise. I have done A4 to M5 and A4 to M6 conversions and I'd probably wait to find the M6 car. :shrug:

Ya I was thinking of waiting. The car I want is a 00 trans am with a ls6 engine in it. That was the only reason I wanted it cept it's an A4 :(

I guess the best bet would be to wait it off till i find an m6 I want.

lots of people out there go the opposite way you are going.. it should be relatively easy to pair up and do a complete swap in a weekend.
