Would you guys buy a Hypertech for $150?

For those that have used it, what gains did you get?

Is it worth the 150 or should I just get a predator...and I dont want LS1edit...
Thanks

not unless you only had to do something simple like adjust for gears or tires or fan settings. save you moeny and get a tune.... if you don't want edit then the predator is probably the best choice for you.

The Hypertech power tuning is known to really be crap. Its main use is fan settings, shift firmness/points, gears and simple things like that.

Like smiley said I would look into a Predator. It does WAY more things. I say if you are gonna do it, do it right the first time.

Look at Predator or LS1Edit

I was a little hesitant to get edit. After I got it and messed with it, it really isn't all that difficult to learn. Just takes some time. Spend the money on a real program and you won't be disappointed.

But ;) .. before you buy anything have a look at what is happening in the tuner arena, links at the top of this forum will help...... lots of NEW products coming, be patient and read, read, read :)

i wouldnt waste your money on a hypertech unless you need to re-calibrate gears:D

I think the main question was about power gain...
0.00 HP for me like for many other.
I just saw a guy that had a power improvement. Maybe the only one.

I put one on my 98 and it started detonating at 4500 and threw a check engine code. Checked it out and it said low voltage on 3 02's, so I put the tuning back to stock and everything is back to normal. Anyone else have this problem? Or know whats wrong?
