The 78 will be in my garage tomorrow, its at my buddy Jims house right now on the trailer waiting to be brought over. I got her for $3,000.00 ;)

The car was wrecked in 1981 and had a new rust free cap put on it and then it hasnt ran since but was stored in a shop. The car is absolutly 100% rust free and only has 42,000 original miles. It cranked right up and was drove around the yard and up on the trailer. Runs good, Ill drive it off the trailer and in the garage. Im gonna redo it back to White with its red interior and Silver and red graphics. Ofcourse Ill put 8" snowflake rims on it. Cant stand the Rally 2's but Ill keep them for originality. It does have the 220 horse T/A 6.6 as you can see. The white is original paint and original decals. Everything works, the lights, interior and trunk lights, electric trunk release works, clock works, power windows work, dash isnt cracked. I only have to put carpet cause its faded, one interior trim piece, reglue the headliner, and the interior will be done. Realign the front cap and paint her and redecal her and she will be ready to hit the road. What yall think about my new baby. Ill post pics of the S-15 when i get it. Im so excited and happy.:?

Got her home today.

Drove her off the trailer and around the block then washed her and drove her in the garage. :2thumbs:

Pumped the gas 3 times and she fired right off with no waiting on her to crank over. Oil pressure pegs out at 80 and stays strong. She even will stay idling without me holding the gas. I can get out and walk around while she idles.:D

Those cars had a few rust problem areas. The trunk floor, water leaking from around the rear window.Rear 1/4s, doors and front fender near the door, drainage holes plugged up. Check those areas out too.

Trust me I know about those areas. Ive had a few of these second gens. See sig ;)

The thing is rust free everywhere. The only rust on it is some light surface rust on the roof where the paint chipped off. Will be ground off and primed and treated tomorrow. :D

NIce dude! I'm looking at a Nocturne Blue 79 right now that has a few more issues than yours. Where'd you find her?

My friend found her in some small town near Shreveport.

The guy has several Trans Ams in a barn.

My friend is going back to pick up a 1975 4 speed 455 Trans Am thats the same colors as mine, White with Red interior.

The guy also has a 76 Special Edition 50th Anniversary Trans Am 4 speed 455 but needs alot of work. The pass. 1/4 panel is almost completely rusted away on it.

Good find! I really want a 77-78 Bandit or Gold SE but they're hard to come by at a decent price.

Sorry dude, but you got :Owned: that car has 142k miles on it.

I don't think the car has 142k on it. It hasnt been registered since 81. If it had 142k, you could tell, it wouldn't be in that kind of shape.

It just looks like a car that was wrecked, bought cheap and halfway fixed then forgotten. I think he's got a good car there.

thanks Morpheus. I agree with you on that, if it had 142,000 it wouldnt look near this good.
