Diamond components?

We just traded my wife's old Blazer in for a new one and as thus I removed the old system. Turns out the new system has "special" circuitry in the head unit so I can't just throw the system in the new vehicle.

Anyway, among the pieces parts is a Diamond M5 6.5" component set which I'm considering throwing in replacing the Monsoon crap that's left in my 'hawk. Anyone try these in our cars? Sound ok? Where'd you find space for the xovers? (Yes, I have several spare amps, one of which would replace the monsoon amp when/if I replace the speakers)

I found enough room to put the cross overs behind the kick panel on each side.

I've been hearing that the PolyKev's sound better than their Utopias. I have a set of 165K2P's in my car. Love em!!

Seriously though, the Diamond Components I've heard were pretty dry in the midbass and the metal tweeters I heard on the Diamond's were really harsh. Maybe their silk dome version is better but I haven't heard them.

I have Diamond Audio Components. Not sure what model yours is, but if you listen to Jazz, there nice! Not awhole lot of Midbass, but you can't tell anyways with the top down :rubeyes:

I like them. It was also within my budget. I would have bought Phoenix Gold if $$ wasn't an issue.

My house consume's all $$$$ at this point. :)
