call me crazy...but
several weeks ago, I ordered a new set of CME tips because my old ones had broken apart. at that time, I was informed that SLP had added a back brace to the tips for added support.

I had them polished,

and then installed.

When the new tips were installed, the original stainless, mandrel bent elbows were replaced with aluminized pipe. :dunce:
Anyway, I used to set off car alarms nearly everytime I cruised through downtown St. Augustine, but have not heard one go off since the new tips were installed.
I have even had one person tell me my car is not quite as loud as it was. To be honest, it sounds as loud as ever to me, and I have a pretty good ear. :dunno:
