232/229-595int/590exh @ 114LCA
Should handle my small 110-115 shot just fine
What do you think?

What is a nice set of dual springs realatively inexpensive to go with? I may still get some 918s but havent decided yet

Should work ok. Most of the time you want a split pattern cam for n20 applications, but if you aren't spraying more then a 200 shot, I wouldn't worry about it. The Crane springs or Patriot springs are nice. I ran the 918's for some time with no problems at all with a .581 lift.

I cant spray too much as I have a nice big stall. I have 918s with my current cam 221 227 561 569 114, no problems whats so ever. I have ported heads on the way.

If you have a set of ported heads on the way, I would go ahead and have them machined for dual springs. Probably want to stay away from the Comp 987's. I am running them with no problems so far, but have heard mixed reviews on then (valve float).
so your gettin some heads then huh dano :D, from who and what stage and what heads; 5.3's, 5.7's, ls6?
i already gave you my answer on the cam and springs ;). no way i'd keep my non-blue strip 918's; with your old cam or this new one.

Maybe another cam in the selections
either W1 or FM9
w1= 227 234 579 581 116
F9 = 232 236 585 598 114

There is no way I would go reverse split when you are even thinking about having the jug on the car. Reverse split cams are putting out lower low-end numbers than the foward splits anyway. Go with the F9 if you have enough clearence. It'll be a hell of a motor cam and will love the spray.;)

Should have enough clearance :think:

im not a fan of the reverce split cam.. but its your car.
Go with the dual springs, will give you better reliability with that sise cam.

and the rev split has left my mind
what rev split? :dunno:

Reverse split means the exaust duration is smaller than the intake duration. For example 230/224. I said "should clear" on the fact of not knowing if your heads are going to be milled or what other aspects might throw a kink into P/V clearence. Unmilled heads and the F9 +4 degrees of advance on a 112LSA would be my choice.

Why not the TSP 231/237 it puts down great power on the motor and loves the spray.

Texas Speed can custom order you any cam you want with any LSA you want. If you wanted a 231/237 on a 114, they could do it.

What custom specs did you decide to go with from FMS?

The 918 springs are only good to a .600 lift and let me tell you first hand that my .592 lift cam broke one in halfin less than 100 miles of easy driving. best go with a dual spring. Just my $.02

I am going to try and back down off the lift a lil, I wanna stay around 580ish

~350 is a pretty good price for what you get :dunno:, certainly a better bargain then the 921's. you can check out the PP duals, TSP sells them for 295 i believe and there good for .650 lift.
