Well, today my car wouldn't start. Pop the hood, and find out that the positive battery terminal bolt is corroded. This is the second time I have replaced this thing in like 2 months! Also, it seems that the volts (or whatever the measurement is) is hanging around 13, and then dips down beloe for a little, and also when the car is in the run position it stays in the yellow. However that could be normal, never really paid any attention. Could it be the alternator not holding a charge, bad belt, bad battery, or do I have a freakin electrical problem now! Just shelled out 1800 a month a go to get the tranny rebuilt!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR:mad:

The altenator does not hold a charge, the battery does. The altenator charges the battery. The gauge should read about 13 volts when the engine is running. You may have a bad battery. Make sure the cables are tight on the terminals.

volts should be inbetween 13-14 volts on the gauge. If the car is running just fine and just having starting problems then i'm betting your battery is gone. I would go ahead and look into buying a battery like an Optima Redtop or something like that :)
