Well our little friend N20 finally did in my motor, broke a piston. I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and have a forged 408 stroker built. Now when I put my nitrous back on it will be in the form of a wet kit. How much can a forged stroker take? Compression is going to be around 11 to 1 for right now. Will a 200 wet shot be safe? How much power will that motor put down with a 200 wet shot on it?

Thanks

I'm thinking a 200 wet shot would be fine. That is depending on your fuel system.

It's hard to say how much power that setup would make until it is built and running. If the motor is built correctly you should have no problem running a 200 shot on it. Ugrading your fuel system would be a necessity IMHO.

What heads and cam? And you will be fine with a 200 shoot if you have the fuel there to support it. Just don't go AMS bitch on it.

Ok the reason it broke a piston we think is one time racing a chipped, pulleyed, exhaust, intake 03 Cobra my damn nitrous solenoid stuck open and it took me a second to realize it, RPMS stayed about 4000 for a good 5-10 seconds when I let out. After that my car ran like crap. We replaced the plugs and that fixed the problem with it running bad but it was making a strange noise that we couldnt locate, we did now LOL. I was running a 150 dry shot for over a year making right at 500 rwhp and 550 rwtq with no issues until the solenoid stuck. The kit was a 5177.

When the motor is built I am having Absolute Speed Stage 2 5.7L heads put back on it with a 232/236 .595/.605 112 LSA.

5177 kits have 2 solenoids in series, did both fail?

Didnt have it hooked up that way. It really wasnt a 5177kit, it was a kit that I kind of peice together myself. I only had one solenoid but the 5177 kit was easier than typing all of that out.

Did you have the WOT switch, fuel pressure safety switch, and window switch when it blew???

No safety equipment at all, just a WOT switch. If I would have had a window switch then it wouldnt have happened but now I get a big motor.:D

200 would be fine, as long as you have the fuel.
