I want to get the 5177 kit but I need to know what nesscesities that they don't include with the kit. MY car is a 2000 TA with lid and cut out and I'm ordering LTs, ORY, and a Spec 3 clutch soon. What doesn't come with the kit that I need to run safely. I'm on the 10 bolt so I wont be spraying in first gear. Will tuning be needed to run safe, I'll be going with a bigger cam later and don't want to tune twice if I don't have to.

I would make the exhaust changes as well as upgrading the clutch before you spend money on a nitrous kit. You really don't need to make any chages to the tune unless you are going 150+. the only change I would make would be to run tr6(colder plug) when you install the nitrous on your car.

Yes everything I listed will be done before the Nitrous is put on. From some reading I guess a window switch is a neccesary add on to the kit for my M6 is that true?

I would strongly suggest a window switch and set it at a point to cut off the nitrous flow a feww hundred rpm below where you plan to shift.
With you living in Florida, you might not need a bottle heater but that would be an option to to keep your nitrous pressure and performance consistent.
Last option would be a purge solenoid but to me, that is more important on a wet, not a dry kit.
The 5177 kit comes with everything else you would need to run nitrous and to also pass NHRA specs as far as having a blow down tube that vents outside of the car.

Get and keep a extra relay in your car so you don't end up like me at the track for the first time with the juice and no way to use it!! Seems that these relays in the 5177 have a habit of going out!!

Get a window switch!!!! If not you are gambling with your engine. Like stated before the kit comes with everything else you will need. A bottle heater and remote bottle opener are nice though. As for the clutch. I ran my 01 Trans Am on a big cam and 100 shot MANY times down the track before it finally gave out 6 months later. Best time of 12.2@121mph on my STOCK clutch.
Have fun!
