there is a post on LS1tech about the TB not being to open all the way-only about 90%- the coolant tube is in the way-the throttle cam hits it i believe

Never heard of this - must be something improperly modified or damaged.....

Don't recall ever hearing this anywherre, but do a search on "coolant tube" "Throttle body" etc...

my understanding is that the throttle cam needs tobe ground down in order for the TB to open all the way-might have to do with the angle of the neck opening

well, i know for my car, the shop had to grind down the throttle plate that the cable sits in cause it bangs against part of the manifold. if thats whats your talking about :dunno:

No, unfortunately its being taking FOREVER for me to get my shit together. i was planning on having it done today actually, but the tuner went to a turbo mustang convention in texas. the only thing i have left to do, is to weld the flanges onto my headers/y pipe so i have no exhuast leak. then finish the base tuning and then dyno tune.

that sucks. be sure to keep us updated when everything is up, tuned, and running.

you should get a baseline with your setup and then have the lsx port matched and see what kind of gains are reached. i dont think there have been any portmatched dyno's yet.

i dont know how much port match tuning is. also, i dont want to have to pay to reinstallation of the intake manifold. i heard it was a bitch to install by the shop.
