Has any one here powdercoated or painted their polished wheels. How much did it cost? Some pics would be nice also.

Yeah i like the polished look but they are a bitch to keep clean. I like the way the tt2 look black, just wondering how much it costs to get done.

I was thinking about doing mine myself but i want a polished lip. What kind of paint did you use and what was the process??

I used a regular automotive primer, and paint and clear that was made for wheels, got everything at autozone. As for the process, I sanded down the surface of the wheel (I bought a set of painted wheels because I didn't want to screw with my chrome ones) so that it had a nice, scuffed surface. Then I gave them a couple coats of primer, about three light coats of color, then one really good coat of clear. A polished lip would probably be pretty easy, you could just mask off the lip while you did your painting:cool:
