what could be the problem if my car goes into park , but will still roll ?, could it be the tranny ,linkage , ??. all other gears work fine.

What have you done besides the header install recently? Are you sure it's going into park? You are able to remove the key? Pull your plate over your console and see if anything is loose or broken.

First thing I would probably do actually is look under the car in the vicinity of the shifter cable and see if anything is loose (bracket) or broken (clips).

if the shift lever on the side of the trans is going all the way forward and the trans still doesn't achieve park, the problem is in the trans., and related to the park pawl mechanicsm.

if it's not getting pushed all the way forward, you need to troubleshoot the cable and shifter; maybe just adjust things.

The linkage isn't letting the transmission to go fully into park. I had to get a hammer and tap the bracket that the tranny linkage rests on forward a little bit to let it fully engage. You can see it on from the left side of the car. It is the piece that is just a few inches from the arm that connects to the linkage which shifts the transmission.

I don't remember, call a dealer and ask, then either get it from them, or go to an autoparts store and get it.
