Does the LS1 in the new GTO make the piston slap " type " of noise ?....


While on the subject does anyone know if the 03 and 04 LS6 makes the noise ?....


I know it sometimes takes 3000 miles or so for the noise to start but I'm sure some of you have this mileage already....

I have around 3400 miles on my 04 GTO. I haven't notice any unusual sounds from the engine bay. Just the normal valvetrain noise. I thought that GM fixed that issue by redesigning the piston skirts?

Heaven forbid you mention piston slap. Be prepared to be attacked by the "expert" you know the fing tool who doesn't know what it is:rolleyes:
