Alright, I'm thinking of getting Kooks Headers/y-pipe/cats on my car, and when I do so I would like to do a catback setup as well, I am thinking of either SLP or Magnaflow, anyone have experiences with Longtubes and either of those catback systems? I like the whole single slash tip on each side idea, but anyone have any input on these 2, I know a couple guys who have longtubes and Loudmouth on their LS1 camaros(with cats) from Fbody.com that love it, but I dont want it to be TOO loud under 3k rpm's, or 2800 or whatever.

I have the SLP Loud Mouth cat back and Mac Mid lenght headers with Mac ORY less cats.. The sound is cool for the first 3 minutes... After that.. You will want the cat's back on.

SLP LM in My Opinion is a good cat back for when you dont have many mod's to your car. It will make it sound meaner.. look better.. and add a few ponies as well. But once you put headers on or no cats or heads and cam.. it sounds toooo loud.. too throaty, too harsh.. and you will get pulled over alot.

If you are a good neighbor like I am.. I feel bad starting it up at 6am every morning.. so I do a quick start, and as soon as it starts up... i bolt down the road and then let it warm up. LOL

I'm planning on keeping cats on it(because it is louder and i've also heard raspier without cats), but I've heard some audio clips that made me fall in love with longtubes+loudmouth

What brand of cats do they use? Are they supposed to flow pretty well?

I'll have to check on that I'm not sure

I think Random Technology but I'm quit sure and yes apparently they flow very well

I went with a catted Y, because I've been told the GMMG exhaust will rasp if you don't have cats.
