ok i got the setup installed in my TA and took it for a drive i am running a 100 shot in it and when i hit it i felt it of course but i was expecting more. my question to everyone is when the system kicks in how much does it pick up and how much is the difference? i guess the only way to find out for sure how much faster it is would be to take it to the track, which i have been wanting to do anyway for some time.

What kit do you have? Brand/Wet/Dry

What was your bottle pressure?

I have a wet kit on my car and when it is on it is like night and day.

High 12's on the motor and mid 11's on the 100 shot.

This is N/X wet kit.

What kind of car/Mods/ect do you have. When we have this info we will be able to give you some info.

I'll add one more question to this, a4 or m6 and if a m6 try spraying it in 2nd or 1st and see how she feels. I noticed a HUGE difference when I added my bottle heater and sprayed the car in 1st gear. Before that with just a stock car and n20 kit, I felt it, but not like I expected to.

IMO have to have a bottle heater..... pressure is EVERYTHING with nitrous. Do you have a nitrous guage? If so you need to be at least 900 to 1050 PSI. That will make a HUGE difference in the "hit". :D :D :D

Agree with above, without a bottle heater and a pressure gauge you will never find out what it is realy all about.

Check your ground wires. :o

I went all last season not spraying and thinking, damn this sucks I thought it was supposed to be the shit:o

Later I found out I didnt have a good ground and it never sprayed. :o

well i have a NOS brand wet kit and a bottle heater (didn't hook that up yet though) it dosen't kick in until the MSD window switch is between 3000 and 5400 and the throttle is wide open. the bottle PSI is around 800 and i have a 25 jet in for the fuel and i can't remember which one i have in for nitrous, i think it's a 52. i have a chart all made out for which jet to use at certian PSI. the bottle has been sitting around (full) for about a year and i have it mounted in the spare tire well on i'd say around a 75 degree angle. i have a triple gauge pod that has fuel and nitrous psi. as for other mods the car has headers y-pipe and borla the rest of the way back, a MAF translator, lid and K&N, t56 plugs and some other little things.

Make sure you have the right pills in the car and make sure bottle pressure is between 950-1050 and you will feel a big difference.

Mine was disappointing too the first time I sprayed. Then I got a full bottle with 1100 PSI and oh my god what a difference.

What are T56 plugs? I hope they are NGK TR6's..

That is your problem right there, nitrous has a shelf life. Empty your bottle and go get it filled and I am sure you will see a huge difference.

Really? I have read (just through boards, but it was a agreed upon thing across many boards) that nitrous doesn't have a self life!!

I have read those convos before and have always disagreed. I have personally seen a fresh fill perform better than old fills(many months old) many times. It is hard for us to diagnose problems over the internet. The only real way for you to know is to get a fresh fill, get the bottle pressure to 1050 and see what happens.

Well I guess I will be a good test subject on this issue since I am on track to fill the bottle up once every year or so. I don't even know why I have it sometimes!!

LOL...when my car was my daily driver I would refil my bottle several times a week. I probably would go through a couple hundred bottles a year. Fortunatly I got my nitrous for free so it was no big deal.

Mine is my daily Driver, but I never get a chance to use the bottle. Kinda sad, the only time that I get a simi chance my girl is with me and I want do anything with her in the car, and I can never seem to make time for the 2 hour drive to the track!! :( I don't get my fills for free, but I do get them for less then 1.50 a pound!!

I hope this year will be different.

The best runs I have had are when I have a FULL BOTTLE and 1050PSI or so.

Don't run your bottle to low either. I remember running with 2lbs of nitrous in the bottle and every time I would hit the bottle the car slowed down. All fuel no nitrous and eventually a backfire.

I never let my bottle past like 4-5lbs...

And I run my pressure between 1050-1150...
