Can someone look on their Procharger and tell me if there is a CARB # on the unit? Is it D-365-3 or D-365? And what kit is it?

No one has the P-1SC-1 kit?

I've been looking into that blower also. I get different answers regarding its california emmissions status.

It might only be 49 state certified. Since California is the #1 state:D I Guess its not legit yet.

Ideally, I would like to add that same kit, but boost to +7#. Then when smog check comes up, just reduce it to 5# in order to pass.

Please post (or email me) any info you find.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the P1-SC is 50 state legal.
The D1-SC is a different story, and as of late, most people are running the D1-SC.

The E.O Number should be stamped on the Head unit itself.

I am reading that the old setup (utilizing an FMU) was 50 state legal, but because they recently changed the setup to include a tuner and injectors, it has to be resubmitted to the California Clean Air Board for an Exemption Order Number. It has a number "pending"...
So for the meantime, it's 49 state.

Well I could never get a good answer from the Sales Director. All he would say is the 4# FMU kit was legal in Calif, but wouldn't get a CARB number for me. I kept pressing him, he finally just hung up on me.

Including your other post, even though your have heads/cam that pass the sniffer now, it is entirely possible that adding a blower may put your past the emmisions max/threshold. I'm NOT trying to talk you out of it!

It 's pretty poor marketing when a company does not tell you a CARB approval number when the info is already publicly available.

I got the printed ATI brochures last month and it indicated the 4lb kit was being fazed out and replaced with the 5lb. However, the little * stated that it was pending california acceptance.

I'm starting to re-think the H/C route instead. I agree with you that it would be foolish to buy an emissions controlled product when the sales director wont tell you the CARB #.

I think would a good tune, any Supercharger would be able to pass the sniffer. But in Cali, we have that damn visual. So we must have that CARB Number.

I would have bought the one that had the correct number. If none of them did, then I could deal with it and would know what to expect if I bought one.

I got a reply from ATI concerning carb approval. The only kit with CARB is the 4#. I dont think they even sell this product anymore. Therefore, there is not a supercharger offering from ATI available for highway use in California. Bummer, time to go another route.

Ed's got 11:1 !!!! No problem, throw on a super HD radiator and run 100 octane. :D

I also heard they were getting rid of that system.

11:1 CR? Naaa I'll just run 10* timing and 10:1 AFR. ;)
