Hello,

Here is the deal. I have done a lot of research and I have found mixed results about everything I look into.

Basically the question is F1-R Procharger or T-76 Turbo kit?

I have a 2000 T/A fully built 382 stroker motor stage 2 heads with 8.75:1 comp ratio. I am currently running a P1SC ATI and at 10 psi boost I am making 530hp and 650RWTQ. This is through a TH400 and 12 bolt with 3.73:1 gears on 28inch slicks.

The little blower cannot keep up, it is only allowing me to go to about 6200 rpm, so I should see more power. I need a bigger power adder.

I really want to go with a Turbo but I have concerns with turbo lag. I will be racing this car in events and I do not want to have to stage for very long to build boost. I am not sure if this will be a problem with my 4200 stall and Trans Brake. I need to know though before I buy.

I know Supercharging works, but I don't know crap about Turbos. I have done some research on here and other boards and am getting mixed answers from everywhere. Can someone please make some suggestions and back it up with a technical explanation?? I need to know more.

Thanks for the long read,

With a properly sized turbo, 'lag' isn't something to be overly concerned with. Off the line it'll be pretty impressive because (since you've got the trans brake), you should be at full boost or near full boost when you launch. Some of the other members with Turbo LS1s are seeing boost almost immediately off of idle, or have very low boost thresholds. Check out "Maximum Boost" By Corky Bell... it's a must have for anyone thinking of going turbo.

Thanks man!!

I will check out that book. I am really leaning towards the turbo, just got to decide what kit and all that other jazz.

You shouldnt have any problems with turbo lag.Youd probally be better off with a t-88 with your mods. I dont know what you have done to your fuel system but you might want to upgrade to some 55lbs/hr injectors turbos need a lot of fuel. But with that you could make up to 800 hp or more on race gas.
