i have a 93 c1500 chevy pickup. i have a 86 corvette tpi engine.the tpi engine was flooded in katrina, i still have to get it to my current location. its probably locked up.if its not locked up ill use the whole engine. heres my question. if the engine is locked up can i take the heads off and put them on the block in my pickup? the engine will be used with a carb. will i have to get a special intake to use the carb?the engine in the truck was a tbi motor that i put a edelbrock performer rpm intake and edelbrock 600cfm carb.

The heads on the truck engine are crap for flow. They have differently angled centre 4 intake manifold bolts.

The heads on all pre 92 vette engines have all the same angle on the intake bolts.

Use the 86 heads. Get the right intake for 86-down head intake pattern. Everything else is good to go.
