Just got my MX's put on a few days ago and have already started testing them out a bit...they handle GREAT!! Replaced my GSC's with them, and HUGE difference. The MX's have a large tread pattern and ride quite smooth too. Only drawback, is the sidewall has a wierd design that I dont really care for...but, oh well.
Will post pics tommorow, but I got mine from TireRack.com for $317 shipped (for just 2)

how stiff are the sidewalls?? I have ran SZ50's (275/40/17), T1-S's (275/40/17) and now AVS-100's (275/35/18) and the only tire I liked was the SZ50's. Both the T1-S's and ES100's have too soft of a sidewall and the car felt like it was riding on marshmellows when doing switchbacks.

I am trying to decide between KD's or the MX's. I just want a nice stiff sidewall.

thanks
Paul

Sidewall for the 40 series are VERY stiff..granted, mine are pumped up to 32psi, so they still have a bit of play, but depends on which/where your going to put them. For rear tires, i'm sure they'd probably hook pretty well, as I've been carving and there is MUCH more room for me to flex them. Handle very good, heck, corners i would take where the fronts (when i had GSC's on) would push, now my 315 Sumitomo's are breaking lose before the MX's...cant say enough about em!

Stiff Sidewall, big tread pattern, quiet roadnoise, seem to handle well in the rain.

Agreed :D

Just put on 285-17's and I love 'em! Same as above, quiet, sticky, handle well and reasonably priced:cool:

GEt a lot of attentiontoo. Had 315's before and these look just as wide. Get a lot of positive comments on them.:drive:

True...but I before them, I've had the Kumho 712's, before that, Pirelli's, before that, Eagly F1's...and these by far out do them all.

The GSC's should stand for "G****** S****y Compund" :2guns:

I can now add that these things handle VERY well in the rain. Whether its the smooth asphalt roads, or the rough backroads...they stop very well and corner good too. I was actually thinking that with their size (275's) that stnading water or little "rivers in the grooves" would cause problems, especially with their big tread pattern..nope, much more pleased with them now.
