My drivers side window is dead. I'm thinkin about going ahead and replacing both windows though.
Anyone know of some good replacement motors to consider buying? Also, how hard is it to replace them?

Autozone...if I recall, they have a warranty on them. They are rebuilt untis though. I need to replace my drivers side very soon. Also, go to camaroz28.com, and seach for 'Jason Cromer' he might be able to hook you up.

Autozone has very good window motor. I don't have the part number, but I'm sure they could look it up for you.:)

Are they a pain in the ass to replace yourself?

In case you don't have the Autozone part number yet, it's WL42014 (brand name: Siemens). Check in the box and make sure that the little nuts and bolts are in there. The first one I bought didn't have them, so i returned it for another one which had the hardware (can save you the hassle of going back to the store, if need be). Finally, use loctite! :)

I changed my motor for the first time in a little over an hour. Doing it a second time, I could probably do it in 30 minutes.

the autozone motors come with a lifetime warranty, and they should take the average joe 30-45 minutes to replace;)

I did my drivers side in about a hour, now I will do the pass. side, maybe 30 min.
It's really not that hard, just a few things I noticed: be careful of the adheisive from the panel liner, it doesn't come off leather! Be sure to lubricate the rollers and tracks with something other than solid graphite. Also, wear a sweater or everyone will think you're suicidal. :help:
