View Full Version : What color for the back panel?

I know the rear panel on the Bergers is black but does anyone know the exact color for that I really like the look of it and may do mine like that. Thanks Scrappy

my guess would be a flat black since there's no shine to it.

It is flat black. When I had my SS I was going to do that to it. It looks really sharp IMO. One of my friends has his rear panel on his Z28 done that way. Looks really nice. His screen name on here is 01pewterz28. He has pics of it up here.

That's how GMMG did it for the Intimidator cars - black on black. Couldn't tell a whole lot of difference, but you can go to their website to check it out, www.gmmginc.net

I've seen a silver/grey one on a black car that I didn't think looked bad. Might want to buy an extra in case you don't like it, though.

Here's what mine looks like. I did the letters in SOM to match the car. As far as flat or gloss, I went ahead & did mine in gloss black.

I am about to paint mine black. I already have chrome inserts from RKSPORTS.

I believe the "CAMARO" inserts are chrome on the GMMG cars.

I believe you are correct :) But looking at their website, it doesn't look like they used inserts on all of them. The Berger SS on their site doesn't have them, but all the rest do.

The color is black "Satin". I called! Both of my LE's are done in satin black without the clearcoat on them.

I guess It depends. I used a satin black with no clearcoat and it didn't come out as flat as the Berger cars. I guess I got a semi-gloss. I didn't pay much attention

What paint did you guys use to apint the rear panel?
