I know that SLP sometimes gets a bum rap when it comes to mods, but when it comes to this one, that is not the case. What they sell as a "high capacity radiator" is actually the same GM radiator that came in the 93-97 LT1 f-body. SLP caps off 2 of the openings that are for the LT1 and it is a perfect fit for the LS1. The LT1 radiator is 1 3/8" thick while the LS1 radiator is 15/16" thick. So it clearly has a greater cooling potential since it is almost 50% thicker than the stock LS1 radiator. Right now I have a 70/30 mix of water to dexcool and added a bottle of RedLine water wetter, so this should definately help keep the car cool in the hot southern summers. If you live where it is hot ut and still want to enjoy your car in the heat I recommend this mod to help keep your engine cool.
