I need opinions...
What do you think would be better for all around torque range and stability.
Twin Turbo 422 Iron Block
or
Procharger D1SC 422 Iron
Lookin for nice power curve. I am getting ready to order either a 409 or a 422.

If you've got the cash for either setup, I'd say turbo. Typically produce a lot more mid-range torque.
The D1-SC is a great unit, I've got one, but I will be the first to admit the powerband is peaky..
It keeps making power all the way up, so it really doesn't produce max power until you hit redline, or a bit before...
Whereas a good turbo setup should produce massive amounts of midrange torque and hold it or build more than the S/C..
As for stability, either one will be fine. When you hit high power levels, stuff breaks. Expect it to, and when it doesn't, be happy.

I agree with MGar99, go with the turbo. Either way you have the right mix to pull some awesome numbers but, i prefer turbochargers because it's pretty easy to adjust the boost, and no belts to worry about.

Yea i figured "taming" a beast like this is going to break stuff. I just gonna accept it and try to avoid as much as possible.
If i go turbo, is one turbo enough and two would be overkill or what? All my experience is with Sc's

Generally speaking, you can get the same amount of power out of a single as you can with a twin setup. The problem with custom designing your own turbo system, is there are few absolute rules when it comes to the difference between a twin and a single. In the end, it really comes down to a matter of opinion and money, as a twin setup will likely cost you more. Personally, i'm a huge fan of twin turbos (even though i only have a single on my car), so i'd go that route if money isn't a major factor. Properly selected twins will be by no means overkill for an LS1 ;)

I got a T66 on my car and it screams......

Ah, forgot to mention. My T66 is 650 ish hp capable, we went with a smaller exhaust housing for quicker spool. The thing whistles insanely loud, I have honestly never heard a turbo so loud. :D

if that is the case, what would two of them and a forged 422 iron block create?
Where is a good place to get two of them anyways?

So many variables there, the possibilities are nearly limitless

dude, just buy a kit thats allready made for you.
this business of not knowing anything about turbocharging but fabricating your own system is oil and water.
what is the rest of your car like? stock? fuel system? tuning?
theres lots more to it.

With a 422CID... I would go with a F1R or F2 procharger blower with either COG or 10 rib setup and FMIC. The 422CID will give u more than enough midrange and the SC will give u endless top end. Think about it, when u are racing u are not going to go under 5000RPM which is all about topend. Thats why u see the fastest FI cars being SC'd. In turbos there are alot of factors that play in making a good power band. U will find out that most of the turbo setup that gives u crazy midrange lose topend due to a small exhaust housing, etc... On the other hand when u have a large AR u might lose midrange and get more lag, but make more top end. Thats why SC's are nice because u will have one blower that gives u power everywhere. It gives u nice low end, midrange and topend. With a turbo u have to know what u want exactly, either midrange or topend, or even low end with a very small turbos' for short sprints as in rally cars. My advice go SC and save ur self a huge headache.

If u really want to turbo charge ur car go with a Twin Turbo Setup because u can have equal length manifolds which would help in spooling and saving ur manifolds from cracking due to more stress on one manifold than the other. Also twins are known to give smoother power band than a single when the right size is choosen. Good luck man.
