Change engine oil message?

It came on yesterday on my road trip to texarkana with only 2500 miles on the oil and I got it changed today and it is still coming up when I start the truck. How do I get it to go off?

you need to turn on the key,step on the brake, and floor
the gas pedal like 4 or 5 times. the check light should
flash after that and that should clear it.

The ses light is not on, it just says change engine oil in the message center where the milage is displayed. but I will try that.

It only takes three presses of the petal in the trucks. ;)

5.3.. he is refering to the change oil message, it will flash three times signifing that it has been reset.

Yep, it worked, it didn't flash thought it just said oil life reset. Thanks for the help

That is interesting. Must be a change in 03. I will have to put that in the stoage banks.
