Getting a 383 stroker

Well Im going to get a brand new 383 stroker from my friend. But I don't know shit about chevys since I've always worked with 351's and 302's in fox bodies. But I recently got a '89 z28 and my friend will build me a bran new 383 for 600 bucks. I don't know the exact specs on the engine yet like heads, cam, crank but I do know its gonna be a beast. Me and him are going to put it in in a few weeks but I wanna know now about how much power do 383's make? I'll update the thread when i find out what carb, heads, can and crank are going to be on the engine. I just know the 351 wind he built me made my fox run 11's all motor. He said is was gonna be a race motor with some kind of hydro tranny 5 spd. But Im not going to see him or talk to him until he gets back in about 1 1/2 weeks so I just wanna have an estimate of how much power I could be making to the wheels. Thanks

Nevermind, I just talked to my friends friend who is building the motor. It made 611 hp at the engine with .540 a lift cam. Thanks for nothing:(

If you friend is making 600hp 383's for $600 tell him I will take 50 :rolleyes:

Hes not producing the motors and hes not selling them for $600. I go one for $600 from him. But that was a long time ago. I already finished and sold the car.
