I work with a guy here at fort knox Kentucky, And he is an old retired full bird colonel. He curently has a Very high paying job for uncle sam. When I moved here about a month ago, I seen him driving a very beautiful red Trans Am A4. I have never realy sat down and talked to the guy about his car because he is always busy and doesnt sseem like the set and talk cars kinda guy. But today I found the opprotunity to talk to him. And I find it hard to believe, but this is what he said...
" My Trans Am is the very last Red Trans Am to roll off of the assembly line in Detroit...."
If im not mistaking, the VERY last trans am to roll off was a red one? and it is in a museum. This guy could afford a 100,000 dollar car, but i just dont hink this is one. What do you guys think? any way to prove him wrong?

The last one was red.
Maybe he has the last one off that went to the public??
Like skytower31 said, the VIN, is the only way to know for sure.

Yup, it would be awesome that TA was last one coming off of the assembly line. He would definitely own bit of history.
As stated, VIN check with Pontiac would definitely identify whether or not his statement is correct.:)

once you get the VIN, send an email to cac@pontiac.com
and ask them what ever you would like to know,(if this was the last car, etc)
They will tell you all they can from the VIN #
You can send them yours and they can tell you some neat stuff about it as well, if you did not get a build sheet at purchase.

It seems funny that he knows so much about the car..... yet doesn't know they rolled off the line in Ste. Terese (sp), Canada, not Detroit.

The last red trans am is actually in a museum...but the one before that could be considered the last one to the public. Check that VIN and let us know.

In accordance with "Pontiac Enthusiast" Magazine - the January/February 2003 Issue states that they produced the very last Firebird on August 27, 2002 at the St. Therese assembly line. This last Firebird was a red convertible Trans Am with a 6-speed Hurst shifter. This article also states that it should remain unprepped guise and placed in the Pontiac Historical Collection to be forever preserved. The VIN Number is 2G2FV32G822172466
