01 to 04 front end conversion.

Some bastards ran into my truck in my apt parking lot so i have to take the truck to a body shop to get it fixed. While it was there I was just going to have them replace the front clip with the new look. Will this work and how much more expensive would a 04 front clip be than a 01. I forgot to mention its a GMC

You want to put the 04 chevy front end on or the GMC? I personally think the 01 chevy front end is 100x better lookin than the 04.

The Headlights and Turn Signals are the same for the GMC's with only the grill and front bumper being different. However, the front tips of the frame horns are different on the 03+ GMC so the bumper will not bolt directly up and will need the new style frame tips on or custom brackets fabbed up from my understanding. Other than that, and probably some misc. fillers and the fog lamps it should be a direct replacement. I haven't noticed any difference in part pricing, both bumpers will require paint (the 03+ more so, but its not a big deal). Good luck!
