2000SS monsoon head unit interchangeability

My folks just got a 2000SS, has a monsoon tape deck in it. They want a CD player, and would like to just get a factory monsoon CD player. I have found a few on ebay, and I know they'd bolt in, and I'm pretty sure the plugs are all the same on the back, but am I going to have any problems with the theftlock system, or should it just plug in and work. Does the CD player need to be de-coded, or un-programmed. thanks for any help.

I'm pretty sure it has the Theft Loc system on it which makes it unuseable without the right code after the power has been disrupted to it. It is pretty easy to find the code. When you get it just search for theftloc on the internet and there is a website that will give you a number to call to get the correct code. I didn't have my code when I disconnected the battery the first time but I used that # and it worked.
