View Full Version : ARE Engine Problem

These are pictures taken by NLP of a motor built by ARE.
I asked ARE to revisit this and reconsider their position back in October of 2004. No help was given to this problem and the entire cost of the rebuild was again borne by the owner of the car. Again, all blame for the failed bearings was placed on the owner of the engine.
This is the original thread:

This is a quote from one of my club members about it.
Let's see...built motor made to handle 200 shot...9000 miles on the engine...screw a heavy foot....
That's just sloppy workmanship my friend.
Here's the pics that Mike Norris took of Ferrell's motor.

Can't view the thread without registering. Can you post a Readers Digest condensed version of it?

Sorry about that. I reset the permissions in there. You should be able to go into the tech now.

Elmer, so this is yet another ARE faulty motor and not the one you just purchased?

Starting to wonder if there isn't enough for a class action law suit here. Seems there's more than a few screwed people. They'd probably just claim bankruptcy though.

Different thread; different customer. This guy is a member of the local car club here. He's a personal friend. He's also a physician. I believe him when he says the engine failed due to improper assembly or used parts.
My thread had the loose head. This thread has the bad parts shown.

They won't be claiming bankruptcy anytime soon, so I would say pursue the lawsuit. Some judges will even award extra cash just for going through the BS of having to chase people or for being accused of a wrong doing when you're innocent so be carefull.

This is an odd statement coming from an employee.
Jim, do you work at Autoworx still?

This is not the first time I have suggested people take it to court.
If people on here are going to call Autoworx criminals I think they owe it to the readers and fellow members to prove they have in fact commited a crime in a court of law, cause after all......................is that not what a criminal is?

Jim,
On this point you and I actually agree. If you have a problem with someone, deal with it, calling someone names without following through only makes the name caller look bad in my opinion.
If you're going to call someone a criminal, call the police, take them to court but at least back it up. If you are not prepared to go to the wall with your accusations shut the fuck up. On another note taking shots at someone elses family crosses the line as well, If someone publicly called my wife or kids names they had damn well better be prepared to say it to my face. I would never take a viscious remark towards an innocent family member or friemd without making sure that the offender knew in no uncertain terms what I would do about it.
All I really want to say about all of this, is some people will take an active role and try to resolve their issues and some people will hide in the corner and take shots.
My problems with ARE/Autoworks are slowly resolving themselves because I simply dealt with them head on and continue to do so.

Good points.
Yet, you didn't answer my question. :)
