Finally got the car all back together and headed to the No problem raceway to see if I could finally hit my goal of a lt1 headed 355 with a 6 speed in the 10s. Well..I made it. First pass it popped out of 3rd about 1000 rpms too early..I coasted for a second..then I stuck it in 4th and ran it out. 1.50 60' and 11.10 at 122

Dropped 1/2 lb in the rears and tried again.

1.485 60' and 10.967 @124.96

..wooohoooooo...finally...made the 10 sec. pass. Now that the pressure was off and I settled back down. Made another pass..no changes to anything.

1.483 60' 10.969 At 124.86

It bogged just a tad on this run. I decided to see what the track would take so I turned my two step up to 5200(5000 before) and went on the two step at half throttle instead of barely touching it before. When I dropped the hammer this sucka stood up..well..stood up for a 6 speed..lol. Friends say about knee high..set em back down and ran it out

1.45 60' 10.93 @124.76

All I can say is finally

Now time to change everything and go faster...lol

I think so...it was hooking alittle too hard if that makes sence and boggin the motor down more than I like. I want to wrap the tires a couple times to keep the rpms up while still keeping the 60'..or better. I'm shooting for low 1.4x 60s. If I can leave on the floor on the two step and cut a low 1.4x it will go a 10.8 at 125. I've run 125.3 before but spun bad on that pass...causing a 11.12 et. Now that I've broken the barrier the fun starts...time to experiment with lauch techniques, tire pressure, shock settings..etc.

I'm sure the -2000ft DA deserves 98% of the credit for the 10 second slip.

It'd be a low 12 second car anywhere else

Nah, those hairdryers are too expensive... just run a hose from your intake into the passenger seat and have someone blow into it while you're driving... 20-30hp right there baby. :D

oh...working on the car tonight..wasn't getting full throttle..I was hitting a clamp. Looks Like I did this at about 85%:D throttle. It did this on the dyno once and I picked up about 8-12 rwhp across the band when I fixed it. At least I know where some MPH was now that I thought I should have had.:drive:

LOL..I woundlnt be the first one to daily drive a pro shifted tranny if I wanted. It just takes practice but its no big deal really. But if it was the daily driver i wouldn't have pro shifted it..and it would have been fine..heheheh.

How well do the 17x11's fit with lowring springs in the back? How do adjust it when you put slicks on?

5.0 - this link kinda explains it all http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140893

94NDTA - The 315s took some hammering on the inner fender on my car. Of course I went with the corvette offset so they would tuck under better. This was also with BFG drag radials which are wider than most 315s. I make no chances when I put the slicks on. I had to clearance the back fender alittle to allow for tire growth but that is it. I run a 15x10 weld pro star with 7.5" BS. The fit great. I had to center my rear end for both tire setups but that is easy with an adjustable panhard bar.

LV2XLR8 - finally..lol. The car has had it in it but just a string of bad luck for the last year kept me from making any good runs in descent air. I still missed the really awesome air so who knows how deep in the 10s I could go with this setup. Oh well..I'm changing things and going for mid-low 10s NA.

couple more questions, did the drag springs lower the front at all? How much space do you have between the wheel and the fender, front and back? Also, how do the drag springs up front handle on the road. Do the adjustable shocks allow it to be easier to drive it on the streets.? The corvette offset is 50MM right? Would you say an adjustable panhard is a must? Do you have any problems with your LT headers with it being lowerd?

Man..thats alot of questions..lol. Let me see if I can answer them.

Drag springs went on when I did the hals...so they droped the front a good bit but I raised it back up. I think the drop was because of the initial level of the Halls. I've heard they drop the front about 1" on a normal shock..but can't verify that. I have about 1" on the back and 2 inches on the front in my drag setup. I think with street tires I have about 1.5 inches on front and back..but I can't really remember and haven't had the street tires on in a while. Yes...the halls make it easier to drive on the street..just a couple of clicks and the car is stiffened back up to handle well in daily driving...couple clicks at the track and its ready to transfer some weight quickly. Yes...corvette offset is 50 MM and the anjustable panhard is a must. I've had the 11" fikses on both my car and my wifes 99 WS6 Formula. Both needed to be adjusted. Headers aren't too bad...just don't go over any huge bumps and you should be fine.
