Easy install, much easier than on my F-body, with a definite SOTP improvement, dyno #'s soon
Yeah I would like to hear what kind of numbers you get from that mod.

For what those rockers cost I probably could have gotten two cams, but its a nice stealth mod and much easier to install
How does the car feel with the new mod?

There is a real nice improvement in low end power, which is really what this car needed, the 1-2 shift is a lot move agressive now even with the TC engaged

1. Says who? I really have a hard time believing gouge from anyone who dosen't know what a kilowatt is
2. I doubt a set of rocker added that much. If I get 8 HP from it I'll be happy. than again if you belive the article when thay added these rockers to a stock vette they made close to 20 HP

i am just wondering why you would do this mod first, without a cam change ? did you get the rockers at a good price ?
im not saying they are not a bad thing to have... i just wouldv'e thought CAI , headers, ls1 edit, and then cam&rockers+springs.
you got any pics of your car ?:D

Ease of installation, the car is way to new to put a cam in, and no noticeable lope to alert a dealer that the car has been modified. As far as edit goes I just don't understand any of it so I'd wind up doing more damage than any thing
Pics are in the menbers gallery

SLP 1:85 rockers, springs and titanium retainers are a nice mod but add an ATI and those rockers will really improve power and prevent valve float common in stock cammed even boosted LS1's.
I have slp 1:85 rockerarms to compliment my ATI pushing 6.5 psi.
480rwhp through stock manifolds. :yikes:

1.85 rockers are a BAD idea IMO. That is WAYYYY TOOO much load on the spring and you will run into serious problems later should you decide to go with another cam. The ramp rates o nthe stock cams are severe enough, much less with the addition of a longer arm.
There is just not enough of a performance gain to justify the stress on the valvetrain.

Not true. I would agree with you if I installed the rockerarms alone but the rockerarms come with springs, titanium retainers and raises lift only slightly...nothing dramatic like you seem to think. Also consider 01 and 02 cars have smaller cams than previous years and can use some lift. If I didn't install the rockerarms I would have much less power than I do. 480 through stock manifolds at 6.5 psi.

BlueGoat - was it difficult to change the valve springs? I was looking at the rocker arms also - the only thing holding me back was the spring change.
